Really good software for making simple flow charts (BB Vol2 Issue 16)

Printer-Friendly Format

I am sure that like me, you've had occasion to produce simple process charts from time to time -- maybe for client reports, proposals, handouts, etc.

The problem
There's a bit of gap in the market, so far as the 'occasional flow-charter' is concerned -- you either have to jump into the deep end with a full function product like MS Visio (around $550) or make do with PowerPoint, which most of us have, but isn't really the right tool for the job.

The solution - FlowBreeze
What would be really good would be some sort of add-on program that could be used to give additional, easy to use, flow charting function to standard software, like MS Office, for example. This is exactly what FlowBreeze is. As a "plug-in" for MS Excel, FlowBreeze can't do anything on its own, it needs Excel as a host program, but once loaded, using Excel to create attractive flow charts becomes a breeze (pun intended).

FlowBreeze is made by BreezeTree Software and their website is available on this link:

FlowBreeze can be downloaded on a 30 day free trial and thereafter costs a very reasonable $59.95 for the Standard Edition. There is also a Basic Edition available for $39.95, but in my view the Standard Edition offers the best value for money. A comparison between the two editions is available on this link:

Just to be totally clear on this point: I have no connection, commercial, social, or otherwise with BreezeTree Software. I like their product, I've found it useful and I'd like you to know about it. It's as simple as that.

I hope this has been useful to you - please don't hesitate to send me your comments.
